A One Day Cultural Experience of Korea
The Korean Culture Festival is a one-day event designed to share and enjoy Korean cultural heritage and artistic traditions as well as modern trends with the local people in Stockholm, Sweden. The 1st Korean Culture Festival was held in August 2016, organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Sweden together with five Swedish non-profit associations.
This year the festival is a culture-filled extravaganza replete with both traditional and contemporary Korean culture through a variety of programs. On the stage, the Korean traditional music and dance, the Taekwondo demonstration and K-Pop concert together with K-Pop DJing will be performed. There will be markets for Korean fine cuisine, food ingredients, K-Beauty products, handcrafts and K-Pop souvenirs. In addition, visitors can participate in activities such as Korean handcraft, traditional folk games, trying on traditional clothes ''Hanbok'', K-Beauty make-up and K-Pop dance workshops.
Regardless of your prior knowledge of Korea, this will be a unique opportunity that you can discover new interests in Korean culture. The Korean Culture Festival takes place on Saturday, 24 August from 12:00 to 21:00 at Kungsträdgården in Stockholm. Admission is free and everyone is welcome!
